Since 1995, PAN has been a hub for arts activity and a laboratory for new artists, new work and new relationships. Having brought this important resource to North Miami is a boost for PAN'S mission, the artists and the city. PAN has given birth to numerous emerging companies and individual performing artists and plans to continue in the role of sponsoring and mentoring talented young artists and arts groups.
PAN Programming Overview - In-Studio Performance Series
PAN, Performing Arts Network's Annual In-Studio Performances Series is a staple in its community program offerings. For artists, the series provides a forum to develop new work, enhance performance techniques, introduce new audiences to their work, and test reactions of audiences. Artists are able to refine and add to their work based on this experience, while developing new audiences and students. The frequency of performances allow the artists and community to share in the process of creation and education. For the public, the series provides accessible, on-going, quality community-based programming.
Educational components include the hands-on and interactive Lecture/Demonstrations and daily classes in Dance, Theatre and Music, as well as special workshops and intensive courses, giving the artists access to students, and students access to artists on an on-going and in-depth basis. Outreach programs in local public schools, libraries and community centers enable us to have even more impact with our programs.
