theatre @ PAN, Performing Arts Network
PAN's Theatre Program provides a wealth of opportunities for the study of theatre in a wide variety of ways.
Acting classes begin with basic training and then students may pursue scene study, monologues, physical theatre, mime, writing for the theatre, stage management, theatre lighting and production. PAN has its own BlackBox Theater where students may learn about everything that goes into a production with hands-on experience in costume, lighting and set design, directing, marketing and all aspects of performance. Students perform for PAN Student Showcases and participate in Workshops with Guest Artists. They have the opportunity to write and produce their own work as well as to perform the work of their fellow students. PAN students are invited to perform at community events and to be part of professional productions produced by PAN artists and teachers.
As interns with one of the many professional individual artists or performing groups that are part of PAN, students may work on productions at PAN as well as in virtually every theatre and community venue in South Florida.
Students interested in Musical Theater may take Dance and Music classes at PAN, as well as Musical Theater Workshops where they will create these types of performances.
PAN's Theatre, Dance and Music programs offer high quality training with small class sizes that allow students to have individual attention from professional artists that are among the best in their fields. This creates a fertile environment for future artists and audiences to grow, while offering the community diverse artistic experiences under one roof.
